Welcome to the, pendulum.org.uk. and thank you for taking the time to read my web pages.
What I hope to offer is an A-Z of lost or little known subjects, from Atlantian magic and language to the Zodiac and Zombies! I will be covering around 2000 subjects, none of which are my personal beliefs or opinions, only knowledge I have acquired along the road of life. I hope others will join in and send me their folk lore or superstitions. Or to tell me of their own experiences, perhaps when they have had their Tarot read, or maybe meeting an angel! I would love to hear from you.
My information is free however anyone wishing to have a personal consultation, i.e. a Tarot reading or help with a problem would be required to pay a very small fee, for my time spent. So after about a year my pages will be full of photos articles maps and quests to go on.
Plus endless lists of amazing books by brilliant authors, and artists and poets whose works might be being lost, to the public. From this I hope to conbine and keep a link between the old age knowledge and the new age knowledge for you to read, and hopefully gain some enlightenment along the way.

Here I will list several books that are fantastic, and people should try and get copies of:
“Enquire Within”
Published by Houlston and Son’s, between the years of 1856-1976. Written by, many dedicated people. One of the most famous books in the world covering everything you need to know about anything. It was said to inspire Tim Bernes-Lee to invent the World Wide Web after seeing a copy of it, he also named his first web versions Enquire after it. I have the 1932 edition passed on to me by my Great Grandmother, which I used to read from about 10 years old, I am now 58 and still refer to it every day. It totally inspired me to set up my web site pendulum.org.uk.
“Change Yourself and Your Life-Without Will Power or Effort”
Written by Mr. James Cullinan, and published by Finbarr Books, Folkestone, CT20 2PA, England. Priced £9.99. it is amazing for affirmations, also not forgetting Paul Mc. Kenna whose work at self help is second to none.
“The Secret” and “The Power”
Both written by Rhonda Byrne, and published by Simon and Schuster, and probably known very well by now worldwide, as apparently both books are equal to the Bible in sales! Even The Simpsons cartoon has done a tongue in cheek episode about “The Secret” called "The Answer". Both books are a definite must to buy.
“Spells and How They Work” by Janet and Stewart Farrar, published by BCA, These two people have done amazing work and research on the said subjects, plus many more books over the years.
“The Dreamers Dictionary” by Stern Robinson and Tom Corbett, published by Harper Collins publishers. Make sure you don’t get it confused with other similar titles, this is a must have book if you want an excellent understanding your dreams.

One of the oldest methods of divination, but still in use today is the Pendulum.
Pendulums are used by the dowser to find out the answer to unknown questions. Any thing, from what sex the baby will be, to what lottery numbers may come out, for fun and amusement, to very serious matters such as dowsing for illnesses, and medication. They are also used to help find lost objects, water sources, ley lines or minerals and oil. They are used in “positive workshops” to demonstrate the effects of willpower, and to help tune you into your sub-conscious mind.
Before baby scans were available, people would use a pendulum to ask what sex the baby may be. They would get a ring and tie it to a piece of cotton, then hold it over the expectant mother’s tummy. If it started to swing side to side it would be a girl, if swinging backwards and forwards, it would be a boy. If it went in a circle it meant you were not allowed to know!
Others use it to divine for lucky lottery numbers, football pools, horse racing and other forms of gambling. It is said you can hold a pendulum over food to see if it is good for you or not. Rather more controversial is the claim that pendulums can diagnose disease, and has been banned for this purpose in the U.S.A.
Pendulums are used in other countries by homeopathic doctors, and radionics practitioners to ask what medications, and what dosages to give their patients. Other people use this method along with divining rods to find water or earth energy lines, and places of power. They are used to find, precious minerals and oil, by holding them over maps of the areas they want to search.
Whatever the purpose, the technique is the same. Try this for yourself. Take a piece of wool, cotton, or string about 9” in length, and tie onto it a heavy ring, or even a large sowing needle. Twist the wool around the forefinger on the right hand and hold as if you are fishing with it, now allow the ring to swing freely in front of you.
Ask the pendulum to show you “YES” see if it swings backwards and forwards, or side to side to find the yes or no move for you. If at any time it moves in a circle, it means the question was not clear enough. Keep your questions simple so it can answer a direct yes or no. Once you are sure which is which, start tuning yourself in by doing an easy test. Hold it over things you know are true or not, and see if it answers correctly. For a few days, practice with a coin. Flip the coin and cover it with your hand so you do not know if it has fallen heads or tails. Then check with the pendulum to find the answer. Keep count how many times you get it right.
After becoming more skilled you can start practising with food, or the lottery, or help you find lost objects, or find someone on a map. Who knows, if you get really good you may even find gold!
