How you can interpret your dreams.

The best book you can buy to help you interpret your dreams fully is called “The Dreamers Dictionary”, written by Stern Robinson & Tom Corbett, published by Harper Collins. It really is brilliant, and covers just about anything you could possibly dream of then gives you many various sources of their meanings.

The following dream meanings are just a quick guide of my own, and are not from the above mentioned book, or any other books! So have a look and see if the dreams you have had are listed.

 

 ABUNDANCE – If you dream you have plenty of one thing, do not over spend, lean times are ahead. If you dream of having plenty of various things it is a good omen.

 

ADDER – To dream of this poisonous snake, or any snake tells you of an enemy that you think is a friend. If you kill the snake, this means you will win the enemy over.

 

ANGER – If you feel anger in a dream, then someone or something is deeply disturbing you. Be careful not to lose your temper when you are awake.

 

APE – If you dream of monkeys you are not being your true-self. It could mean you are trying to copy other people around you, rather than being yourself.

 

APPLE – To eat an apple or to be offered one in a dream means someone is trying to get around you. It can also mean you are drinking too much alcohol, be careful and cut down.

 

ABDUCTION – To dream of being abducted means you will overcome an obstacle against the odds, if you dream of someone else being taken then you will receive unexpected news.

 

BATS – These mean scandal or gossip, the more bats there are, the further it will spread.

 

BIRDS OR NESTS – Birds flying means news on the way. A bird’s nest means a new home.

 

BLINDNESS – Says you are behaving foolishly, look to where your real interests lie.

 

BLOOD – Loss of a friend.

 

BRIDGE – To dream of crossing a bridge denotes a change in your present situation by getting over obstacles, if you cross a broken one you may suffer the loss of something close to you.

 

CHILD – If you dream you are holding a child it foretells trouble, if the child is crying then you could soon have a broken heart.

 

CLOUDS – Clouds represent your cares and worries, so depending on how they appear is how you are feeling at the time. Light and fluffy not many worries, dark and stormy, someone will try to make you angry enough to lose your temper, remember never play your enemy’s game!

 

COLOUR – To see colour in your dreams means a celebration of some kind. To dream of Blue denotes happiness, Red denotes trouble brewing, White, however denotes success and Black, sorrow. To dream in Technicolor is the best dream of all, it denotes a rich life filled with honours.

 

CORN – Much prosperity.

 

DANCING – Beware of tripping over or falling from a height.

 

DEVIL – You are being warned that a misdeed from your past is about to come at you from behind and bite you in the bum!

 

DIAMONDS – Someone you love is acting cold towards you.

 

DIGGING – Riches when you grow old.

 

DOVE – Happy love, you could end up with someone who is at the moment just a friend, becoming more.

 

EGGS – This dream is denoting prosperity.

 

EMBRACE – This means you will never be with the person you are embracing in your dream.

 

EYES – If you dream of eyes staring around you, the behaviour of your friends will puzzle you.

 

FALL – If you dream of falling, you are on your way up in life.

 

FATHER – If both your parents have passed away, it is better to dream of your Father than your Mother, the opposite is true for a male. Dream of the dead and you will hear good news of the living.

 

FIRE – Unexpected news. Expect the unexpected.

 

FLOWERS – To see coloured flowers in a dream denotes a party or celebration, to see white ones means you may attend a funeral.

 

FLYING – Flying in a dream means a journey.

 

FOREIGN – To dream of foreign people being around you, means a trip abroad.

 

FROST – To dream of frost means people you love may be hard hearted.

 

GHOST – If you dream of a ghost then you are treating someone as an enemy when really they are your friend.

 

GOLD – You have many good friends around you, be very grateful.

 

HAIL – Someone is telling other people your secrets.

HAIR – All aspects of this dream should be looked at. Loss of hair or having it cut or even shaved off when you did not want that done, in a means the loss of a loved one, not necessarily through death. If you dream your hair is healthy and thick and glossy, it is a sign of good health. A dream of cutting your own hair is said to foretell new projects and ventures, to cut someone else’s means there is jealousy around you. If you are waxing, or gelling your hair and trying to flatten it down, tells of good prospects and advancement in status.  To be blonde in a dream if you are not naturally that colour means you are flirting too much, or if you are dying your hair, then vanity is overcoming your common sense. To dream of braiding your hair means a new friendship, but if it someone else’s hair it means an unhappy argument. If you are curling your hair it tells of a new romance, if you are already hitched it tells of an improvement with your relationship.

A dream of combing or brushing your hair means you will find the solution to a long standing problem you are suffering. To dream of brushing or combing someone else’s means a friend will ask for your help before long, but if it is a person of the opposite sex it means your sex life will improve. If you dream of anyone pulling your hair indicates false friends and workmates around you. If you dream of white or grey hair you could be in for an unpleasant shock. To dream of a hairdresser doing your hair means you are gossiping too much. To find hair on an unusual part of your body in a dream is a good sign, you could be in for an improvement with money.

 

ICE – This means you are surrounded by people who are cold hearted, move away from them unless you are of the same nature.

 

IVY – This plant means you have faithful friends.

 

KILL – It is not good to dream of killing anyone or thing, but if you are under great stress at the time you dream this, then you will overcome something that is trying to hold you down or back.

 

KING – To dream you are talking to a King denotes a lack of security.

 

KISS – If you dream of someone kissing you, beware of treachery. If you dream of kissing someone then your own actions are not honourable.

 

LEAPING – If you make a leap and land safely you will go far in life, but if you stumble it means, don’t bite off more than you can chew.

 

LIGHTS – A steady light is a good sign, a flaming light means a surprise, a flickering light means things are not what they seem, and a light that goes out means don’t attach too much significance to your affairs at this moment in time.

 

MARRIAGE – This is not a good dream, it foretells of great money worries maybe even bankruptcy.

 

MICE – Again, not a good dream, it denotes money problems.

 

MILK – Good omens, especially for business people.

 

MOTHER – If you dream of your Mother you are about to hear some news from family.

 

MONEY – Try to keep an open mind about subjects you do not agree with.

 

MOTHS – This means a tiresome aggravation.

 

MUSIC – To hear music in a dream means trouble on the way, try to face the music with a smile.

 

OCTOPUS – An old sin is about to catch up with you so be prepared to pay for it now.

 

ORCHIDS – Be aware that you are not living in a dream world.

 

PRECIPICE – Danger in an enterprise you are involved in at this time.

 

QUEEN – A very good dream, it portends a good life.

 

RACING – Means a success in any venture you are involved in at this time.

 

RAFT – If you dream of being on a raft with someone you will surely meet them in real life.

 

RAIN – This means you deserve every bit of luck that is due to you.

 

RAINBOW – Betokens a happy change in your life. For a parent it means healthy children.

 

RATS – These represent dangerous friends, ones who want to embroil you in dodgy financial dealings.

 

ROBIN – Watch people who come to your house, they could be “Fetching and Carrying,” your personal business to others.

 

RUNNING – Stands for effort and success, if however you fall whilst running then watch your temper.

 

SAILING – Means insecurity.

 

SEA – Great adventures are said to be waiting for you if you dream of the sea.

 

SILVER – A proposal will be offered to you if you have this dream.

 

SKY – You are neglecting joys that you already have, for dreams of that which may never be.

 

STRAWBERRIES – Love is coming to you very soon.

 

SUGAR – This is a beautiful dream, as it portends peace, joy and purity as does a dream of salt.

 

SUNSHINE – To dream you are laying in sunshine is very good, it presages many delights, but if it feels scorching hot, then watch your mouth, someone is after telling your secrets.

 

STORM – A strange day to follow after dreaming of a storm, be careful of everything you do or say for 48 hours after this dream.

 

THIRST – Do not travel far from home for a few weeks after a dream of being thirsty, it could mean sickness in the family. Obviously you might just need a drink of water, which is good because if you have to get up to do something when you are still half asleep, like go to the loo or get a drink of water then your brain waves go into a different wave setting. Such as Delta waves, Beta and Gamma waves etc. And you are said to be very receptive to dream formations! So you can have some real good dreams if you are on the right wave length. Or even dream of the family member that could fall ill.

 

TIGER – Avoid having an argument or worse still a fight if you dream of a tiger as you will not win either.

 

TOUNGE – If you dream of a tongue then someone is speaking ill of you and their gossip is malicious and could injure you, be very aware of everyone around you for a few weeks.

 

TOOTH – If you have toothache when you go to sleep this dream does not apply to you. If you do not then to dream of losing your teeth is not good, whether one or more is lost, it means you will lose someone close to you.

 

TORNADO – You are going to be very hard hit emotionally by someone or some situation.

 

TREES – To dream of trees is good, unless they are too close together in which case it augurs a danger of you becoming strangled by the pleasures of life, and those same pleasures may well end up killing you! So...anyway if you see these trees in a dream this is what they mean.

                Oak, means prosperity

                Fir, promises comfort

                Alder, evil omen

                Cypress and Yew tell of a fourth coming death

                Lime, says you will soon go on a journey

                Maple promises success in all ventures

                Elm, this is the best tree to dream of it means ultimate happiness

                Palm, means love and abundance

 

UNICORN – If you dream of this strange creature then you will have adventures for the rest of your life! For parents to dream of a unicorn, means their children will do very well in life.

 

VOICES – To hear voices calling you, means you are neglecting something or someone, do not put off doing the right thing any longer.

 

WALLS – This dream means, don’t try to move obstructions that will fall in time anyway, that way you can save yourself a lot of time and energy.

 

WAR – Serious quarrels no matter how much you try to negotiate peace, however stay neutral to the bitter end.

 

WASHING – To dream of washing clothes is not good, it represents sorrow. This belief comes from an ancient Gaelic dream portending, bad news.

 

WATER – To dream you step in a puddle of water you are making trouble for yourself at work.

 

WATER-SPOUT – Water represents our emotions on all levels, so depending on the force of the water, as to what emotions are being uncovered. If you are being sprayed unexpectedly and the water shocks you, then guess what! You are in for a shock!

 

WINE – Relief from any sadness being suffered at this time.

 

ZEBRA – You will lose love through your own stupidity!
