Bach Flower Remedies
All about Bach Flower Remedies
Dr. Edward Bach was a renowned physician and bacteriologist whose pioneering research into vaccines for chronic disease, won him much acclaim from the medical profession of the time. In 1930 at the age of 43, he had become disillusioned by orthodox medicine, and gave up his Harley St. practice, and other hospital work, to devote himself to perfecting a new and more refined form of herbal medicine that was simple and gentle.
From my own understanding of Dr. Bach’s basic philosophies, he felt, that the flower remedies helped overcome major fears and worries. That illness was fundamentally connected to negative states of mind, and that the treatment of these would eradicate the symptoms they caused.
He also felt that each person was born with a vocational gift to help them survive through their lives. A gift so that they could be happy, healthy, wealthy and wise, and enjoy their work. If however they missed their vocation or service, or worse still were advised by their peers, or to have to take work they were not meant to do, then the outcome would be disease and illness, very much so in various forms of cancer.
He left London to live in the country-side, to concentrate on the plants he felt would combat the negative mental states he had identified. The results of his work are the 38 flower remedies, 4 of which are combined to make rescue remedy. These can be used with complete confidence as they have no side effects, and cannot interfere with any other form of medication.
The most famous of these is rescue remedy, now recommended extensively world wide. You should never be without it. An all round first aider, used for shock, panic, distress, nerves, cuts and sprains and ear and teeth problems. Helps cure nerves when taking exams and tests, fear of travelling, stage fright, and many other ills, such as hangovers!
His other 38 flower remedies are just as effective and potent. I have used them for 35 years now, for myself, and my 5 children, and 8 grandchildren, and am always amazed at the results. I think after all the years of using, these remedies, the amount of situations they have gotten me through is endless, every crisis in my life, from broken bones, and broken homes, driving tests and births. The biggest shock of all being the death of my mother in 1992.
I think the funniest proving of rescue remedy to me however, was when it helped me overcome my worst fear in life, other than my mum dying of course. I always said that if I ever had a spider on me, my heart would defiantly stop in fright! One day, a few years ago. I was painting and decorating my house. I put a cap on to protect my hair, and my worst fear came true. A huge spider ran down my face, then down my neck!!!!!! I went absolutely crazy.
Not one for loosing it, I lost it big time. I shouted, screamed danced around the kitchen, and hit myself over and over again, until I saw the dead spider on the floor. Even then I continued to shout dance and hit myself from head to foot. In my panic I grabbed the rescue remedy and tried to get the top off, but I was shaking and panicking too much to get the dropper out of the bottle, so I tipped the whole of what was in the bottle down my throat!
Within 1 to 2 seconds I was sat on the stair case calm and composed, staring blankly at the dead spider. Not only did it bring me out of the state I was in then, but seeing a spider no longer gives me the creeps as they had done my whole life. I can now even get them in a glass to put them out of the house.
Over the years of experimenting with the remedies I found with rescue remedy that if you do not like the taste of it, especially children, then it worked just as well if you drop it onto the crown of the head and rub it in. I do not like the taste myself so I always use the head method. From doing this I noticed that my hair was getting thicker and growing very fast, as I am now 58 years old it should have grown thinner and weaker as I age. This is not however the case, my hair is thick, in amazing condition, and reaches past my waist. I am positive it is the use of rescue remedy on my head.
Get all the info you can about them, use them and I hope you have as much success as I have.
